„While making my paintings, I am essentially interested in experimenting - playing with different kinds of colours, surfaces and shapes.

Different materials next to and on top of each other can exert a special visual appeal. Bound pigments, inks, chalks, acrylics, charcoal, etc. often have a variety of results with astonishing effects on surfaces, such as papers in all qualities, canvases, fabrics, etc.. Combined with different printing techniques, the range of possibilities becomes almost infinite... that always makes me curious and drives my work forward.“

Traineeship at a press agency in Northern Germany

Studied Sinology and Korean Studies at the Universities of Hamburg and Tübingen
and abroad at the Language Institute Beijing/ PR China and at Yonsei University Seoul/ South Korea
Master's degree at SOAS (University of London) in Chinese Studies (Chinese art, politics and history)

Since 2010 continuous training in various techniques of artistic expression, especially Asian woodblock printing, etching, linoleum printing, monotype, experimental ink, nude drawing, etc. in workshops and courses, as well as independent work in the studio
